Our Story
Founded in 2024, Bonafide Cards & Collectibles was born out of an attempt from founder Vic Elsey Jr to find a different avenue of investing outside of traditional stocks, bonds and 401K’s. This quickly became a passion for trading cards and memorabilia that dates back to wondering into East West Sports Cards and Collectibles, a local card shop in Naples FL, where its management spent hours answering all of his questions. This led to his first ever purchase of Sport's Cards, a hobby box of 2020 Panini Prizm Football FOTL cards.
Once home, he began opening the packs and thinking about everything he had learned and what to look for. Halfway through the box he pulled his very first chase card that would forever change his future path in business: a 2020 Prizm #307 Joe Burrow Blue Shimmer Auto RC #D/25. What started as a small venture into non-traditional investing has since blossomed into a trusted resource for all collectors.
